Jerome R. Goldstein - Community Involved Financial Executive
Jerome R. Goldstein has had a prominent career as a financial executive. He was a founding member of Bear Stearns & Co., and was with the firm for five decades. Based in New York City, he conceptualized a regional office network that fulfilled the needs of diverse institutional and retail investors. A longtime partner and member of the executive committee, Jerome R. Goldstein helped many companies go public and ultimately held responsibilities as managing director, emeritus.
A Dartmouth College graduate, Mr. Goldstein was among the top 5 percent in his class while attending the New Hampshire institution. As an alumni, he has held responsibilities as Dartmouth Parents Fund chairperson and managed its investment and fundraising functions. In endowing the Dartmouth Distinguished Teaching Award, he fostered a vital student-selected pathway of recognizing faculty achievement.
A Dartmouth Alumni Award recipient, Mr. Goldstein has also sponsored and funded student internships at the Hood Museum of Art and was a primary funder of Goldstein Hall, which provides vital housing on campus. He is active with the American Jewish Committee (AJC) as a board member and has funded an AJC endowment to the Bedford Police Department that has helped them secure accident scene-mapping equipment.
